Painted chest

I recently changed the colors in my bedroom and therefore this chest did not match anymore. I saw a picture in my HGTV magazine with a painted leather chest. So I decided to give it a try.

I used white paint and ebony wood stain.

It turned out perfect

From dinning table top to TV stand

I found this table top at a local thrift store for 15 bucks. I had no idea what to do with it but it was in perfect condition. One day I was looking for a TV stand for my bedroom and I remembered the table top.
I took all the hardware off and made two pieces out of the top.
I went to our local hardware store and had some plumbing pipes cut to the size I needed. I attached them to the table top.

Attached both pieces together

It turned out nice

2 pieces makes one

I was searching for a fruniture piece to go in my bathroom but nothing was the right size. So I decided to search around my house see if a can but two pieces together. I found this chest at a local thrift store and painted it a while back to go in my closet.

I bought this piece years ago at an antique store and used it to store some kitchen items.
I decided to see how they would look together and I was a perfect match but of course they needed some TLC to be put together.

I sanded and primed each piece and attached them together with brackets in the back
I used left over white paint 2 coats
Replaced the drawer handles

Found some glass tile I had left over from another project

Them came together perfectly
